I'm not sure of your point. I was mostly unfamiliar with most of these people, beyond recognizing their names. I probably wouldn't invite Ayers over, but most of these people seem pretty cool to me.
These are people who have worked to improve opportunities for Hispanic Americans, worked for working people, worked for the poor, Pulitzer Prize winners, environmentalists, missionary kids... a diverse crowd descending from Haiti, Africa, Ireland, Brazil, the Congo and, of course, the good ol' US. Sounds like most of these folk would be absolutely FASCINATING to have visit at my house.
I've enjoyed my career as an artist for about 30 years. I have many interests and love to challenge myself by exploring new things. I try to be "creatively generous" with what I learn. While I appreciate all the disciplines of the "serious side" of Fine Arts, I also enjoy creating things that make people think.
